Classroom Supplies

Grant  Program

Starting on February 1, 2013, educators can start to apply to receive one of the 500 $200.00 classroom supply grants being offered by the Bowling to Teachers Classroom Supply Grant Program and locally sponsored by Town & Country Lanes.

Many teachers have expressed their concern of budget cuts and the inability to have all of the teaching aids they need for their students to have the best learning environment possible. The Bowling to Teachers program is a small step to helping 400 teachers improve their learning experience for their students. Grant applications will be accepted from certified K-8 teachers from all U.S. states, the District of Columbia and the Provinces of Canada, excluding Quebec. K-8 certified teachers teaching in public, private, charter or parochial schools may apply.

This year, Town & Country Lanes has become a Bowling To Teachers “Golden Apple Center”. This will ensure that a local school will receive a $200 grant. Town & Country Lanes will also be conducting a “Pins for Pencils” fundraiser for local schools, which will convey cash awards to schools and/or PTO’s before the completion of the school year.

For teachers that would like to apply, they need to visit and complete the short grant application. 80 grants per month will be awarded from March through the end of July 2013.
